MYSQL full form is My Structured Query Language. It is an open-source SQL database management system. It acts as a server connecting several users to multiple databases.

MySQL is an Oracle-backed open source relational database management system (RDBMS) based on Structured Query Language (SQL). MySQL runs on virtually all platforms, including Linux, UNIX and Windows.

The data type is a guideline for SQL to understand what type of data is expected inside of each column, and it also identifies how SQL will interact with the stored data. In MySQL there are three main data types: string, numeric, and date and time.

MySQL is a relational database management system based on SQL – Structured Query Language. The application is used for a wide range of purposes, including data warehousing, e-commerce, and logging applications. The most common use for mySQL however, is for the purpose of a web database.

MySQL tops the list of robust transactional database engines available on the market. With features such as complete atomic, consistent, isolated, durable transaction support; multi-version transaction support; and unrestricted row-level locking, it is the go-to solution for full data integrity.

MySQL can run on very modest hardware and puts very little strain on system resources; many small users serve up information to their organizations by running MySQL on modest desktop systems. The speed with which it can retrieve information has made it a longstanding favorite of web administrators.

MySQL has hard limit of 4096 columns per table, but the effective maximum may be less for a given table. The exact column limit depends on several factors: The maximum row size for a table constrains the number (and possibly size) of columns because the total length of all columns cannot exceed this size.

MySQL is the world's most popular and widely used open-source relational database. It was originally founded and developed in Sweden by two Swedes and a Finn: David Axmark, Allan Larsson and Michael "Monty" Widenius, who had worked together since the 1980's.

MySQL has no limit on the number of tables. The underlying file system may have a limit on the number of files that represent tables. Individual storage engines may impose engine-specific constraints. InnoDB permits up to 4 billion tables.

SQL is a query programming language that manages RDBMS. MySQL is a relational database management system that uses SQL. SQL is primarily used to query and operate database systems. MySQL allows you to handle, store, modify and delete data and store data in an organized way.

MySQL was created by a Swedish company MySQL AB in 1995. The developers of the platform were Michael Widenius (Monty), David Axmark and Allan Larsson. The foremost purpose was to provide efficient and reliable data management options to home and professional users.

MySQL ("My Structured Query Language") – world's second most widely used relational database management system (RDBMS) and most widely used open-source RDBMS. It is named after co-founder Michael Widenius's daughter, My.

MySQL is the de-facto standard database system for web sites with HUGE volumes of both data and end-users (like Facebook, Twitter, and Wikipedia). Another great thing about MySQL is that it can be scaled down to support embedded database applications.

A view is a database object that has no values. Its contents are based on the base table. It contains rows and columns similar to the real table. In MySQL, the View is a virtual table created by a query by joining one or more tables.

A trigger is a named database object that is associated with a table, and that activates when a particular event occurs for the table. Some uses for triggers are to perform checks of values to be inserted into a table or to perform calculations on values involved in an update.

The MySQL Clients send connection requests to the MySQL Server. A connection request is simply a TCP-IP connect message sent to port 3306 on the server host machine. Receiver Thread. Incoming connection requests are queued and then processed by the receiver thread one by one.

There are two types of storage engines in MySQL: transactional and non-transactional. For MySQL 5.5 and later, the default storage engine is InnoDB. The default storage engine for MySQL prior to version 5.5 was MyISAM.

Common storage engines used in MySQL are InnoDB and MyISAM. The default storage engine in MySQL prior to version 5.5 was MyISAM. In the case of MySQL 5.5 and later, the default storage engine is InnoDB. There are many other storage engines also which are used in MySQL
