HubSpot is a cloud-based CRM designed to help align sales and marketing teams, foster sales enablement, boost ROI and optimize your inbound marketing strategy to generate more, qualified leads.

HubSpot was founded by and Dharmesh Shah at the(MIT) in 2006.

The company grew from $255,000 in revenues in 2007

To understand how HubSpot works, it's helpful to know just a little about where HubSpot, the company, came from. It started back in 2005 as a resource for marketers.

Back then, they offered tools and resources that helped companies get started with inbound marketing.

Everything from hosting your website to blogging, social media posting, email marketing, and more, were combined on one single platform that can be accessed from anywhere.
Now, years down the line, HubSpot offers that original software in the form of a complete CRM, which includes specific software and tools for sales, marketing, service, and operations teams, PLUS an epic content management system (the HubSpot CMS).

Marketing emails range from mildly personal to completely irrelevant. And it’s not always great for marketers crafting the messages, either. If you have to beg, borrow, and steal to get help from designers or IT, it’s hard to wow your recipient.

With HubSpot’s email marketing tools, everything you need is baked right in. Design and send professional emails independently, and optimize to improve performance. Since it’s powered by your HubSpot CRM, you know the data you’re using to customize your emails is accurate.

Halligan, Brian; David Meerman Scott; Dharmesh Shah (2010). Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media and Blogs. John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

HubSpot hosts an annual marketing conference for HubSpot users and partners called "INBOUND". The event is typically located in Boston. In 2019, Hubspot hosted its largest conference in the event's history, with a record of over 26,000 attendees from 110 countries.

Quite often, content marketers, strategists or business owners do their research and know what they need to achieve inbound marketing success. Obstacles often present themselves when implementing these new measures. When faced with large volumes of scheduling and data collection activities that help guide inbound success, they find themselves fumbling. A platform like HubSpot gives you an automated approach to managing difficult tasks, such as scheduling and data collection. The insights gleaned when using HubSpot give you clarity regarding how your marketing efforts are faring.

Hubspot is called all in one .

It's undeniable that everyone likes a simple solution to a problem and that having the right tools for any job makes life infinitely easier. HubSpot simplifies inbound marketing significantly by putting all the tools you'll need in one place. HubSpot's solution takes care of everything including blogging, lead nurturing right down to analytics.

All the tools you need to run a marketing campaign that attracts, engages, and delights both potential and current customers. It will help you create compelling content, get it in front of the right people, and convert visitors into leads and leads into customers. Plus, the analytics and reporting capabilities make it easier than ever for marketers to demonstrate the ROI for their efforts.

Manage, communicate with, and track your leads with the HubSpot Sales Hub. With more visibility into the pipeline, your sales team is empowered to interact with customers without spending countless hours entering data, or writing the same emails time and time again. Essentially, the Sales Hub is the CRM on steroids, giving you more tools to close more deals.

HubSpot is a marketing, sales, and service platform that helps companies to attract visitors, convert leads, and close & retain customers. It does this through a single source of truth, intuitive UX, and a unified codebase.

The content management system (CMS) Hub is like a lighter, more focused version of the marketing hub, dialed in to help you get the most value out of your website and generate more leads. Content and lead generation are key components of a strong inbound marketing strategy, so having a fully-loaded CMS will help take your content marketing efforts to the next level. The newest hub in the family, the Operations Hub is data-centric and facilitates automation. It helps you connect your apps, and to sync customer data across teams, clean up redundant data, and automate processes to take the “busy work” out of your day-to-day. This hub is a great way to avoid having a half-broken patchwork of software solutions as your business scales.
