Go back and watch episode 6 of Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid. L briefly appears in the foreground, riding a bike! Light, Misa, and Soichiro are also in this scene.
L's surname, "Lawliet", is pronounced "low light".
You might have not noticed this fact but when Light first saw the Death Note fall in the first episode, it lands with the front cover facing downwards. But when Light goes to pick up the Death Note, the front cover is facing upwards. Also a Death Note will never run out of pages.
They both are shown so opposite of each other (except smart) that whenever we see them Light uses a PC and L uses a Mac.
Those who have not read Manga don't know that there was a Death Eraser that can erase the names in the Death Note and revive all the people that have been killed by Death Note.
Any time L gave a percentage value on the likelihood of a character being the suspect, he lied. L would always give small percentages to lie about what the odds are of him being Kira, but the truth is he would lie when giving these figures.Every time L gave a value, let's say 5% of Light being Kira, he actually meant that he had a 90% or above chance of being Kira. Put it blunt, L was almost certain Light was Kira the entire time.
There are many notable similarities between the Unnamed Shinigami and Light, as well as some suggestive dialogue by Ryuk. Because of this, it is plausible that the Unnamed Shinigami is meant to be a reincarnation of Light. But still it is not yet confirmed as the plot changes most of the time.
This theory has never been proven true or false. Touta Matsuda creates this theory, believing that Near used the Death Note in order to restrict Mikami's actions at the Yellowbox Warehouse, later causing Mikami to die in prison.
While people usually think of L’s struggles with Light when they think of Death Note, L actually had a previous encounter with a killer that helped prepare him for his hunt against Kira. Death Note: Another Note – The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases is the name.
L holds things between his thumb and forefinger to stop his fingerprints tainting evidence.
