FEMINISM
Why is feminism still regarded by many as a word to avoid? Despite an ongoing gender pay gap, and a lack of female business leaders, why does the world continues to raise an eyebrow? Why is empowerment proving to be a great marketing tool, but feminism is not? Feminism is definitely for empowering our women, but not to forbid our men. When I say I'm a feminist, people give me a strange look. I want to ask them "WHY?". Many people in the world regard the word "FEMINISM" as a "FAKE FEMINISM" just because of some incidents where women/girls were misusing their rights and playing dirty. I want to tell everyone that feminism doesn't limit here, it is definitely more than that. Feminism starts from small things like a daughter being treated the same way as a son, not differentiating between a daughter and a daughter-in-law, and comforting the ladies while they are on periods. The definition of feminism is different to everyone. It is a major misconception that only a female can be a feminist but this is not true, a person from any gender can be a feminist. Real feminism does not talk about uplifting female above men, but creating an equal atmosphere and equal status for all the genders. Women do not require men to tell them what to do and vice versa. People must keep their personal affairs in order and respect the freedom of others. It is important for all persons to be treated equally because all persons have been born equal. No matter what someone's individual circumstance is they should be treated with respect, dignity, and kindness.
